Member of our medical team traveled to Iquitos, Peru in September of 2006. Medical aid was provided in a small village called El Triunfo. This village had 20 houses where 70 families resided. Another medical clinic was held in the village of Cardoso. In total about 1400 people were assessed and treated for a variety of illnesses.
Education was provided in relation to dental hygiene and methods for obtaining safer drinking water. An eye care clinic was held thereby identifying those with vision care needs. This enabled many people access to eye glasses which gave them the ability to gain independence in their lives.
