On January 10, 2011, Veneta Anand from STIMMA joined 49 volunteers from Mission To Haiti Canada and traveled to Haiti. While there, the team helped build a bridge and laid the foundation for homes that the Community has requested them to construct. The volunteers worked long hours in the Haitian heat with locals and exceeded their own expectations!

The medical clinics were also a great success. We saw almost 1400 patients and provided medication and disease state management tips. Many of the patients presented with diarrhea, fungal infections and scabies - all easily treatable, all easily preventable.

On May 9th STIMMA will take their first ever Medical and Construction Team to Haiti to help with the rebuilding of this beautiful country. Check out our blog for more details or contact us if you are interested in joining our team.
