Student Residence Francisco de Orellana – rio/river Napo” is an institution of young student residents of rural communities in the jurisdiction of the Amazonia districts. The district is considered to be of extreme poverty. The local government is providing assistance to qualified young children, who lack the economic means to pursue their studies. The facility located at Francisco de Orellana provides accommodation and food during the school period to a maximum of 30 students.
However, at present there have been cut backs in the transfer of resources at the disposal of National Government to local Governments. The Student Residence of Francisco de Orellana-rio Napo requires massive structural upgrades in order to ensure the safe housing of these children. STIMMA considers the housing conditions a priority!
Every child deserves a mattress to sleep on.
